In April of 2021, the National EMP Network announced our new brand and identity.
We went from calling our community the "National Emerging Museum Professional Network" to the "National EMP Network" to be more inclusive. With this change, we hope to represent people in the museum field who still consider themselves "emerging", but are realistically "emerged". We see you out there- the ones who have been in the field for 10 years and are now in a management position, but who still want a safe space to ask questions and gather advice.
We also hope to represent those who might not consider themselves "professionals" but still contribute to the field. The reality is that museums are made up of people with high school degrees just as much as they're made up of those with masters degrees.
The National EMP Network prides itself on the support and camaraderie that our community creates across all levels of museum careers and expertise.
